Ethel P. Smith White, 86, Indiana, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Maple Valley Personal Care Home.

She was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Indiana, a daughter of the late Homer C. and Vera V. (States) Smith.

Mrs. White was a graduate of Laurel Lamar High School.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking and baby-sitting her grandchildren.

Mrs. White was a member of the Alliance Church in Indiana and its Senior Citizen’s Ladies of the Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Donald E. White, of Indiana; three daughters, Cheryl L. Duncan and husband Miles of Homer City, Pam Stadtmiller and husband Bernard of Home, and Donna Grant and husband Ken of Ernest; two brothers, William Smith and wife Rosella of Indiana, and Duane Smith and wife Dolly of Homer City; five grandchildren, Rachel Grant, Ryan Grant, Melissa Duncan, Sherry Duncan and fiancé Mike Ream, and Ray Bogel; a great-grandchild, Quinton Bogel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Earl Smith; and a sister, Vera Smith.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Robinson-Lytle Inc. Indiana, with Pastor John P. Sykes officiating.

Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery.
