Erma A. Shaffer, 94, Reynoldsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born May 12, 1916, in Wishaw, a daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Marocci) Ghezzi.

Nov. 27, 1954, she married Levi Shaffer Jr., who preceded her in death May 26, 2003.

Mrs. Shaffer was a retired employee of the former Jackson China, Falls Creek, and a member of the St. Mary’s Church of Reynoldsville and its Rosary Society.

Surviving relatives include a son, Thomas A. Shaffer of Reynoldsville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie (Ghezzi) Null; and three brothers, Arthur, Reno and Bruno Ghezzi.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at the funeral home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at St. Mary’s Church with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
