Erlamon D. (Beatty) Kovach, 90

Erlamon D. (Beatty) Kovach, 90, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Kovach was born May 12, 1923, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Harry and Lenora (Summerville) Beatty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kovach. They were married April 17, 1943.

She attended the St. Peters United Church of Christ.

Erlamon loved city life. She and her husband, Charles, traveled the world together and lived many exciting places, eventually returning to Punxsutawney and enjoying time with her family.

She was a beautiful seamstress and made many of her husband’s and her own clothing, including many household items.

She will be missed until we meet again.

She is survived by five sisters, Wilma Mancini, Lenora Godo, Beverly
"Patty" Filitske, Dianne Boddorf and husband Gene, and Barbara Dimmick and husband Don; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Clair "Pete" Himes, Renaldo "Bud" Beatty, James "Jiggs" Beatty, William "Bill" Beatty and Benny Beatty; and three sisters, Eloise Olson, Marsha "Ginger" Buterbaugh and Joanne Getch.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.

Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
