Ellen Marie Haslego, 80

Ellen Marie Haslego, 80, Punxsutawney, Gaskill Township area, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Lawrence H. and Dora E. (Bair) Brady.

She married Samuel Haslego, who preceded her in death Nov. 25, 2011.
Mrs. Haslego loved listening to country music and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include a son, Dusty D. Haslego and wife Marilyn of Rossiter; a daughter, Karen L. Shaffer and husband Theodore of Smithport; four sisters, Anita Long of Punxsutawney, Shirley Berringer and husband Bob  of Marion Center, Audrey LeCorchick and husband Butch of Marion Center, and Delores Geer and husband Gary of Warren; three grandchildren, Chris Haslego, Kaylee Hilton and Scott Mohney; and four great-grandchildren, Benjamin Haslego and Max Haslego and Khrista and Allysa Mohney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Denny Haslego; two brothers, Harold Brady and Lawrence Brady; a sister, Lucille Seger; and a grandson, Danny W. Willard.

Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will will be held at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with Pastor George Rathmell officiating.

Private interment will follow at Pearce Cemetery.
