Elizabeth J. "Tootie" Henry, 75

Elizabeth J. "Tootie" Henry, 75, of Brookville, died Tuesday July 22, 2014, at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born Oct. 15, 1938, in Kissinger Mills, Clarion County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Wesley Rayburn Mathers and Jean Louise Slagle Mathers.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Redbank Valley High School. On Aug. 30, 1958, she was married to M. Alan Henry in New Bethlehem. She worked as a secretary until she retired in 2002. Elizabeth was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Brookville. She enjoyed singing, being with family and her church.

Along with her husband, Elizabeth is survived by a son, Seth (Louisa) Henry of Greenville, South Carolina; three daughters, Jane Henry of Greenville, South Carolina, Ginny (William) Kniseley of Brookville and Molly (Robert) Murphy of Reading, Pa.; a sister, Bonnie Mathers Kunselman of New Bethlehem; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces; and two nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mathers Gahagan.

Her family will receive friends today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville.

Friends will also be received on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church on Route 36 in Brookville from 10-11 a.m., with the service following at 11 am.

Interment will be in the Westview Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County, Pa.
