Elizabeth A. Brady, 73

Elizabeth A. Brady, 73, of Anita, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

Mrs. Brady was born July 31, 1939, in Hyde, Pa., a daughter of the late Edward L. King and Doris H. (Hart) King.

She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Heffner, of DuBois.

Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting, square dancing, singing and spending time with all of her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Richard, surviving relative include a son, Richard F. Heffner and wife Nancy of DuBois; two daughters, Kathleen E. Manners and husband Orrie of Anita and Shari L. Ferguson and husband Scott of DuBois; two brothers, Harry King and wife Judy of Luthersburg and Edward King and wife Bertie of Rockton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Heffner; a daughter, Debra D. Heffner; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Darlene J. King and an infant sister.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at the funeral home with the Rev. James Fillhart officiating.

Interment is private for family.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Brady's name to the AM / PM Personal Care Home; Christ the King Manor; or Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
