Elizabeth Ann Grube, 67

Elizabeth Ann Grube, 67, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Grube was born Nov. 4, 1946, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., the daughter of the late Jack Hill and Juanita J. (Stephens) Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Eugene Grube of Punxsutawney.

Elizabeth was a member of the First Church of God, where she performed in the Living Christmas Tree for many years.

She was a nurse at DuBois Regional Medical Center, where she worked in the Home Health and Wound Center.

Elizabeth was an avid quilter who loved reading and camping.

In addition to her husband, Douglas, she is survived by two sons,
Christopher R. Knarr and wife Danielle of DuBois and Daniel E. Knarr and wife Kelly of Troutville; one brother, Jack Hill, Ph.D. and wife Liz of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; one sister, Debbie Lavery and husband Terry of Girard; five grandchildren, Andrew Snyder, Noah Knarr, Lucas Knarr, Ethan Knarr and Rileigh Knarr; one aunt, Catherine "Kitty" Heichel and husband Blair of Clearfield; and one nephew, Jeff Hill and wife Danielle of Ann Arbor, Mich.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at the First Church of God with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.

Private interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Grube's name to DRMC Hospice, P.O. Box 447, DuBois, PA 15801.
