Eileen McDonald, 90

Eileen McDonald, 90, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at AM/PM Personal Care Home.

She was born May 15, 1921, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late James L. and Mary (Bonner) Long.

July 26, 1944, she married Kenneth McDonald, who preceded her in death in March 1995.

Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Steffy United Methodist Church and a member of the Steffy United Methodist Women.

She enjoyed working outdoors, children and cooking.

Surviving relatives include numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; and a great-great-great niece.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Long, Jr.; and two sisters, Gladys Stiver and Henrietta Brooks.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday Jan. 19, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park.
