Edward C. Bartlett, 58

Edward C. Bartlett, 58, Brockport, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at his home.

Born Oct. 26, 1955, in DuBois, he was the son of Dorothy Bowman Infantino. She survives.

On July 5, 1978, he married Suzanne Bricen in Reynoldsville. She survives.

Edward graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 1973 and enlisted in the Air Force after graduation. He served until 1977 and earned the rank of sergeant.

He worked at Owens Illinois Plant 76 in Brockway until his retirement in May 2013.

Edward enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and was a member of Jefferson County ABATE.

Feeding his birds and sitting on his deck brought him much enjoyment. He cherished spending time with and loving his wife and sons.

In addition to his mother and wife, Edward is survived by two sons, Nicholas E. (Angela) Bartlett of Lubsy, Md., and Christopher C. Bartlett of DuBois; a grandson, Hayden Marsh; three brothers, David E. (Debby) Bartlett Jr. of Reynoldsville, Ronald D. (Dale) Bartlett of Camden, Del., and Richard D. (Sarah) Bartlett of Mississippi; two brothers-in-law, Charles L. (Lori) Bricen Jr. of Reynoldsville and Joseph A. (Kristina) Bricen of South Carolina; and three nieces, Tiffany Bartlett and Jennifer and Jodi Jones.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant brother.

Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at Adamson Funeral Chapel, 1312 Chestnut Ave., DuBois.

A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Thomas Carr officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
