Edna Ruth (Smith) St. John, 94, found eternal peace May 1, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Sonny); brother, Paul Smith; sister, Marie Murray; sister-in-law, Margaret Cox; and parents James Boyd and Nannie Smith.

She was the dearest mother of Richard, Robert, Michael and Thomas. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Punxsutawney, Mrs. St. John raised her family in Erie and moved to Milwaukee, Wis., in 1977 to live with her son Michael. While in Erie, she worked for Erie County and Reliable Home Furnishings.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Punxsutawney.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus Nursing Home, 3800 North 92nd St., Milwaukee, Wis., 53222, would be appreciated.
