Edna L. Shaum, 89, Oliveburg

Edna L. Shaum, 89, Oliveburg, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Penn Highlands Healthcare, DuBois.

She was born June 29, 1923, in Gaskill Township, a daughter of the late Grover C. and Larue (Cassiday) Rhoads.

She was married to Oscar Dee Shaum, who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 2009.

She was a member of the Oliveburg Presbyterian Church.

She was a former employee of Stewarts Drug Store.

Surviving relatives include a sister, Mary Jordan of Oliveburg, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Friends will be received from 12 to 1 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Reverend Glenn McQuown officiating.

Interment will be in Oliveburg Cemetery.
