Eagle Riders No. 1231 prepare for first-ever ‘Burrow Thunder’ Saturday

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney Eagle Riders motorcycle club its revving up for its first-ever “Burrow Thunder” Saturday.

The 76-mile trip — which will be held rain or shine — departs from the F.O. Eagles No. 1231 parking lot.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the ride departing at noon and returning by 5 p.m.

Randy Witherow, Eagle Rider member, said the ride will progress from the Eagles’ parking lot to Sykesville via Route 119, turn left at the light and then continue to Route 322 West. Following another left, the ride continues through Reynoldsville and Brookville to Route 285 and then on to New Bethlehem.

The group will then proceed down Route 536 through the Ringgold/Frostburg areas before hitting Route 36 South and then returning to the Eagles’ lot.

All street-legal vehicles are permitted, and a group of cars will follow.
