NORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP — There were no injuries reported in a two-vehicle accident involving coal trucks around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday along Route 210, North Mahoning Township.

Both trucks, owned by Rosebud Trucking of Kittanning, were traveling, one in front of the other along Route 210, when both drivers lost control on the icy road.

The road conditions caused the one truck to travel into a ditch, while the other blew out tires and ruptured its fuel tank, causing a small diesel fuel spill.

Punxsutawney’s Central Fire Department was called to assist the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Company with its Hazmat cleanup trailer.

Neither driver was injured. Both trucks sustained heavy damage due to the crash, but neither truck lost the load of coal it was hauling.

Further details were unavailable.
