Driver, passenger injured in one-vehicle accident

Two juveniles suffered unknown injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday evening in Punxsutawney. According to Punxsutawney Borough Police, a 17-year-old Curwensville male was traveling east on East Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, when he fell asleep at the wheel and collided with a tree. His vehicle, a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, suffered disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Rebuck's South Side Service. The driver and a passenger, a female juvenile, also of Curwensville, were transported by Jefferson County EMS to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
