Two drivers were sent to the hospital following a three-vehicle accident around 7:20 p.m. Monday at the intersection of North Findley and East Mahoning streets. According to Punxsutawney Borough Police, a vehicle traveling west on East Mahoning Street drove through a red light and struck a Chevrolet Blazer on the driver’s rear left side, which was in the intersection, causing the Blazer to roll over.

A third vehicle, a Chevy Cavalier, waiting to turn at the intersection, was then struck by the Blazer. Two of the drivers were transported by Jefferson County EMS to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment for unknown injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by members of the Punxsutawney Fire Department, Walker’s Towing and South Side Service.
