Douglas S. “Tut” Toth

Douglas S. “Tut” Toth, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, after spending an amazing weekend with his family.

He was a son of Harry P. and Lois Jean (Stanford) Toth.

Mr. Toth was married to Rhonda Toth.

He was known for his love of sports and coaching abilities, the love of hunting and the outdoors, and his caring heart and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Mr. Toth served the youth of the area as a softball, baseball, basketball and soccer coach through the years.

He was the manager of the District 7 Girls’ Softball Little League Championship team in 2009, an accomplishment for which he was very proud, especially of his girls.

Mr. Toth loved and was dedicated to his family, including his wife and his children, Morgan, 14, and Scott, 12.

He was the brother of Lori “Boogs” Bullers, Mark “Dizz” Toth and Randy “Wimp” Toth, along with their spouses.

Mr. Toth also loved his nieces and nephews, and the McMillen families.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at the First Church of God, Route 861.

The family would like everyone who had contact with Tut to come and share in the amazing life that he shared with everybody else. Please do not weep, for the family knows that he is home, and believes will reunite with him in its own time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Alcorn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the New Bethlehem Little League, c/o Mike Fricko, Penn Street, New Bethlehem, or the New Bethlehem Area Free Public Library, Broad Street, New Bethlehem.
