Dorothy R. Deeley, 88, Punxsutawney, formerly of Anita, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Jefferson Manor.

She was born April 20, 1925, in Anita, a daughter of J. William and Ruby
Mae (Treharne) Radaker.

On Aug. 23, 1947, she married Charles Deeley, Jr., who preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2008.

She was a member of the Anita Assembly of God, where she also served as their treasurer for over 40 years.

She was a lifetime resident of the Anita and Punxsutawney areas.

She was a bank teller for 30 years at the former Farmer and Miners Trust Co. and Saving and Trust Bank of Punxsutawney.

Surviving relatives include two sons, William C. Deeley and wife Jean of Punxsutawney, and Douglas A. Deeley and wife Susie of Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Beth A. Deeley and Hilary of Wilmington, N.C., Michele L. Stavovy and husband Paul of Wilmington, N.C., and Sean D. Deeley of Punxsutawney; and three great-grandchildren, Thomas and Christopher Deeley of Wilmington, N.C., and Lily Stavovy of Wilmington, N.C.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Garber.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Anita Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Deeley, to the Punxsutawney Garden Club, 204 Pine St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
