Dorothy M. Reitz, 84, Reynoldsville, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, in DuBois, at the home of her granddaughter.

She was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Sagamore, the daughter of the late Robert and Fannie (Knarr) Long.

July 23, 1949, she married Charles E. Reitz, who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1968.

Mrs. Reitz was a retired employee from Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in DuBois.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Jerry L. Reitz and wife Ruth Ann, and Robert R. Reitz and wife Debra, all of Punxsutawney; a daughter, Susan M. Aljoe and husband Ronald of DuBois; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Nellie Dixon and husband George of Emporium, Hope Long of Lockport, N.Y., and Faith Bumbarger and husband Jerry of Lockport, N.Y.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Timothy Reitz; four brothers, Richard, Charles, Robert and Donald Long; and three sisters, Emma Hicks, Nadine Hangartner and Thelma Henery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in DuBois with the Rev. Tim Connor officiating.

Interment will be in Beechwoods Cemetery, Falls Creek.
