Dorothy M. "Dollie" Lauer, 89, of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Mahoning Riverside Manor.

Mrs. Lauer was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lauer, and her second husband, Alfred L. Lauer.

She was a member of St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church.

Dollie worked many years for Jerko's Confectionary and the Carroll House Dress Shop in Williamsport before retiring.

She loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and the Lawrence Welk Show.

She is survived by three nieces, Elaine Gearhart and husband Roland, Janice Meehan and husband Richard, all of Punxsutawney, and Colleen Means of Valier; two nephews, Thomas Jerko and wife Katie of Indiana and Dennis Jerko of Punxsutawney; one great-nephew; one great-great-nephew; and one great-great-niece.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m.

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church, with Fr. Simeon Sibenik as Celebrant.

Interment is private for family.
