Dorothy I. Allenbaugh, 84, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at her home.

She was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Nellie Mae (Dick) Cauffield.

On Nov. 9, 1946, she married Raymond R. Allenbaugh, who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1973.

She was a custodian for the Punxsutawney Area School District for 17 years and retired in 1991.

She loved puzzles, watching hockey (especially the Penguins) and spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include two children, son Charles Allenbaugh and wife Mary of Punxsutawney, and daughter Alma Borowski and husband John of Green Bay, Wisc.; five grandchildren, Chuck Jr., Crista, and Craig Allenbaugh and wife Michelle, and Eric and Kurt Crummy; and two great-grandchildren, Chase Allenbaugh and Silas Hodge.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Allenbaugh; three sisters, Elise Kelly, Marion Cauffield and Mae Ryklsky; and four brothers, Boyd, Larry, Frank and Elmer Cauffield.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor John Buchmann officiating.

Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Frostburg.
