Dorothy Henrietta Lewis, 91, of Marion Center, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at Indian Haven, in Indiana, Pa.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1921, to Ramey W. and Charlett E. (Harrold) Marshall in Punxsutawney.

Dorothy worked as a homemaker, farmer and seamstress in Punxy for 25 years.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Doris (Sis) Wells/Hayes of Home; her son, Ramey E. (Carole) Lewis of Marion Center; four
grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel O. Lewis; her grandson, Scott Wells; sisters Cecila, Fannie, Jeannetta, Sara and Sylvia; and brothers Lewis, Russel, Philip, John, Milton, James and two infants.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St., Rural Valley, Pa.

Funeral services will be held on 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Leonard Kinney officiating.

Interment will take place at the Georgeville Cemetery.
