Dora Lynn Sherry, 46, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at
Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1966, in New Castle, a daughter of Clarence E. Brown and the late Dr. Mattie Arnell Brown.

On April 25, 1987, she married Arthur Sherry. He survives.

She was a gentle, kind-spirited woman.

Dora was very artistic, and she enjoyed painting, drawing and graphic arts.

She was very good at working on computers.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; her father, Clarence Brown; two sisters, Kimberly Brown of Ellicott City, Md., and Deborah Dennis of New Castle; and several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Alt.

Interment will follow at Dora Evangelical Cemetery.
