Donna Jean Martin, 65, of Falls Creek, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 4, 1947, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Rass & C. Ruth (Jackson) Denton.

On Nov. 11, 1965, she married James H. Martin, Jr. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2012.

Donna Jean enjoyed making crafts to show at local fairs.  She loved to shop and spend time with her dog, Shawnee.

She is survived by five children, Cathy Crytser and husband Steven of Moon Township, Pa., Carrie Veitz and husband “Big Jim” of Reynoldsville, Brian Martin and wife Tina of DuBois, Courtney Carney and husband Doug of DuBois, and Blaine Martin of Falls Creek; 13 grandchildren, Gabriele and Samantha Crytser, Ashley, Amber and Amanda Lawson, Vinnie Veitz, Brittany Martin, and Cody, D.J., Blaise, Jasmine, Ariel and Adrieanna Carney; and two sisters, Linda Depp and husband Ralph of Punxsutawney and Josephine Martin of Reynoldsville.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey A. Martin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Sherwood officiating.

Interment will be in Desire Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
