Dolly Lou Snyder, 82, of Coolspring, formerly of Georgia, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Mrs. Snyder was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Coolspring, a daughter of the late Wilbert T. Burkett and Pearle E. (Best) Burkett.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert "Bear" Lingenfelter and Vernon C. Snyder.

She was a member of the Coolspring United Methodist Church.

Dolly was a much-loved mother and grandmother and is missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Lingenfelter and wife Karen of
Lawrenceville, Ga., and Michael Lingenfelter and wife Linda of DuBois; two daughters, Joyce Stephens and husband Clarence of Brookville and Ruth Shaffer and husband Robert of Coolspring; eight grandchildren, Brad Stephens, Sheila Atcheson, Michael Stephens, Dana Hoffman, Robin Shaffer, Teresa Marshall, Cara Lingenfelter and Nicole Lingenfelter; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, Bear and Vernon, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert T. Burkett, Jr.; and a sister, Eileen Burkett.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Coolspring Cemetery.
