Diane Lee Trithart, 64

May 8, 2012

Diane Lee Trithart, 64, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at her home near Custer, S.D.

After growing up in Punxsutawney, Ms. Trithart attended Grove City College, where she met the man she would marry, Ron.

Over the course of her life, Ms. Trithart had three separate careers: First, as a mother raising a child; second, as a businesswoman with Consumer Credit Counseling Service, in which she rose to the level of CEO; and finally, as a small business owner, where she ran her own bed and breakfast.

Ms. Trithart took great pride in her abilities as a hostess. Guests praised her skills in the kitchen and her attention to every detail.
She was blessed with a positive outlook, no matter the circumstances, even as she struggled the last few years with ALS.

Surviving relatives include her son, Tim Trithart and wife Kristina Hendrickson of Rapid City, S.D.; two grandchildren, Ella Blue and Sawyer Gray; and her significant other, Tim Howell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Zimmerman.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Custer Lutheran Fellowship with Pastor Tom Opoien and Pastor Kent Narum officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to recommend that memorials in Ms. Trithart’s name be sent to the Custer Lutheran Fellowship or Regional Health Hospice.

Arrangements were under the direction of McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Custer.
