Dennis D. Hook

Dennis D. Hook, Brooksville, Fla., passed away Sept. 19, 2011.

He was born in Spangler and was a 1966 graduate of Purchase Line High School.

Mr. Hook moved to Syracuse, N.Y., where he spent most of his life. He worked for P&C Foods as a truck driver, accumulating more than 1.5 million safe driving miles. He also received New York State Safe Driver of the Year awards.

He retired after 34 years with the Teamsters Local No. 317, then moved to Florida where he wanted to retire for a while. He also worked for Autoway-Ford of Brooksville for four years.

Mr. Hook had a love for life, travel, boating, motorcycles and classic cars (fast ones). He was a member of C.N.Y. Mopars and Barracuda Owners’ Club.

Surviving relatives include his loving wife Karen, (Stoll) Hook; two sisters, Marion Ramsey and Irene Hook of Syracuse; a brother, Charles Hook and wife Jean of North Carolina; two step-children, Lisa Marie Wood of Snyder, N.Y., and Ricky Wood; and two special step-grandchildren, Samuel Charles Pezzino and Ricky J. Wood Jr.

Arrangement were under the direction of the Brewer & Sons Funeral Home, Brooksville.
