DELAYED YET ANOTHER DAY

May 29, 2012

In this Spirit file photo, Punxsy's Ryan Sloniger (left) trots into third base, as Punxsy head coach Mike Dickey gives him the hold sign in an April 18 game against DuBois. Dickey and his squad hoped to be off and running toward their ninth-straight District IX title Tuesday in Brockway, but another nasty storm wiped out the field and delayed the game — which was originally scheduled to take place last week — to this afternoon. The Lady Chucks were also supposed to play St. Marys Tuesday in Brockway, and both games have been rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. today. (Photo by Zak Lantz of The Punxsutawney Spirit)
