David G. Van Horn, 50

David G. Van Horn, 50, Templeton, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1959, in Natrona Heights, a son of Blaine and Ruth (Waltz) Van Horn, who survive.

Mr. Van Horn was married to Denise Ross, who survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mr. Van Horn belonged to the Local 66 Operating Engineers Union, where he was a certified crane operator.

In addition to his parents and former wife, surviving relatives include two sons, Ryan Van Horn and wife Leah of Dayton and Matthew Van Horn of Altoona; two sisters, Karen Rotto and husband John of Lower Burrell and Judith Keible and husband Earl of Apollo; and three brothers, Blaine Van Horn Jr. and wife Ellie of West Alexandria, Ohio, Ronald Van Horn and wife Judy of Dayton and Timothy Van Horn of Rochester Mills.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Van Horn; a sister, Melinda Van Horn; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev. Darla Revennaugh officiating.

Interment will be in Gilgal Cemetery.
