David Anthony Rowan, 54

David Anthony Rowan, 54, of DuBois, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at home.

He was born Oct. 5, 1958, in Erie, a son of the late Thomas Anthony Rowan and Dolores T. (Woods) Rowan of DuBois.

David was a graduate of Academy High School in Erie.

He was Catholic by faith.

Mr. Rowan was the caretaker of his mother, Dolores.

In addition to his mother, surviving relatives include a brother, John A. Rowan; two sisters, Georgine R. Sweitzer, and Kathleen Catrabone, all of DuBois; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel T. Rowan.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the funeral home, officiated by Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
