The Punxsutawney chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has named Tim Krise the recipient of its annual Community Service Award.

To be eligible for this award, the recipient must have contributed to the community in an outstanding manner through voluntary heroic, civic, benevolent service with no compensation, or by organizing or participating in community activities.

The Community Service Award Committee was established by the DAR National Board of Management in April 1995 as an opportunity for chapters and states to recognize worthy individuals in their communities for outstanding unpaid voluntary achievements in cultural, educational, humanitarian, patriotic, historical, citizenship or environmental conservation endeavors.

Pictured are Krise (right) and Jan Harrold, DAR regent.

Missing from the photo is Ginger Momyer, DAR Community Service Committee chairperson.
