National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Volunteer Field Genealogists, along with junior member Santana “Tana” Olp, presented a workshop on Dec. 1 in Titusville, Pa.

Instruction was given on the proper preparation of applications, accepted proof documents and suggested resources and methods of proving a Revolutionary War patriot.

A PowerPoint presentation gave participants an overview of how to use the public DAR website to find a Revolutionary War Patriot.

Betty Kennedy Dinger and Laudrea Brewer Frampton gave the presentation. Joan Miller Olp assisted with sign-in, handouts and discussions. Junior member Tana Olp prepared and assisted with the computer and PowerPoint portion of the workshop.

The genealogy team was hosted by Pastor Leroy and Margie Learn of the Titusville Alliance Church in Titusville.

Refreshments were provided by the two sisters, Margie Learn and Joan Olp.

Attendees were from the Titusville and Franklin, Pa., areas.

Betty, Laudrea, Joan and Tana are all members of the local Punxsutawney Chapter DAR.
