Dale Houser Brink, 79

Dale Houser Brink, 79, Brookville, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.

He was born May 16, 1932, in Thompsontown, a son of the late Lawrence and Bernice (Houser) Brink.

July 15, 1954, in Berwinsdale, he married Beverly L. Lewis, who survives.
He was a member of the First Church of God in Brookville.

Mr. Brink spent 28 years in Jamestown, N.Y., working at Crescent Tool Co. until 1976, when the company moved its operation to Sumter, S.C.
He moved to Brookville in 1977 and began working for the Westover Leather Co. Mr. Brink was also employed at the American Tanning Co., Brookville Hospital and Punxsutawney Area Hospital, from where he retired in 1993.

After his retirement, he drove bus for the ATA and worked in maintenance for Liberty Apartments.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include four daughters, Debra L. Brink of San Antonio, Texas, Karen S. Hutton and husband Alvin Jr. of Irvona, Sheryl A. Brink and Merle VanBergen of Coudersport, and Dawn M. Shaffer and husband Chad of Brookville; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gale (Jack) Brink of Madera.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dorsey Brink, Dick Brink, Ray Brink and Kenny Brink; and a sister, Lois Bates.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. today at the First Church of God, Brookville.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Chest Township, Clearfield County.
