Daisy M. Sandstrom, 93

Daisy M. Sandstrom, 93, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Mrs. Sandstrom was born May 7, 1920, in Rossiter, the daughter of the late Domer Bishop and Annabella (White) Bishop.

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl G. Sandstrom, in 1988.

She is survived by one son, John Sandstrom and wife Teresa of Edgewood, N.M.; three daughters, Earletta Fryer and husband William of Castalia, Ohio, Judy Wayland of Madison, Conn., and Chyrl Kelly and husband Larry of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; and numerous nieces
and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Earl, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Butch White officiating.

Private interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Sandstrom's name to the American Heart Assoc. at 7829 National Pike, Uniontown, PA 15401.
