Crosstown Ministries VBS kicks off Tuesday

The Crosstown Ministries puppet ministry will be presenting the message during this year's VBS program, "Shine Jesus Shine," which begins Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church. PUNXSUTAWNEY — If you are looking for something to keep your children busy the day after school lets out today, then think about sending them to the Crosstown Ministries Vacation Bible School, to be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday at Grace United Methodist Church located on Hillcrest Drive in Young Township, just below Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Shelley Bishop, Christian education leader at Grace United Methodist Church, said that Crosstown Ministries consists of Grace, Woodland Avenue and Mount Tabor United Methodist churches.

Bishop said the theme for this year is "Shine Jesus Shine."

In addition to purchasing Spanish Bibles, the goal of this year's VBS is to collect sunglasses to distribute during mission trips.

Crosstown Ministries VBS begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church.
