NORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP — A garage machine shop and storage area was completely destroyed in a huge fire that could be seen in the skies of southern Jefferson County and downtown Punxsutawney prior to noon on Wednesday.

Perry Township, Lindsey, Marion Center and Plumville volunteer fire companies responded at 11:09 a.m. Wednesday to the Jared W. Clemmer residence at 2738 Beaver Road, North Mahoning Township, to a reported garage fire, which turned out to be a machine shop that was also used as storage for farm equipment.
