Cramer reinstated as officer in charge in Reynoldsville

June 7, 2013

REYNOLDSVILLE — Although Wednesday night’s Reynoldsville Borough Council meeting left those in attendance thinking that there might be a delay before the next step came about in the Reynoldsville Borough Police Officer in Charge situation, an unexpected change came about Friday when Bruce Cramer was reinstated.

Friday afternoon, the borough released a statement saying that “due to the fiduciary responsibility that the Reynoldsville Borough Council has to the citizens of Reynoldsville, the Borough Council has decided to reinstate Bruce Cramer as officer in charge, with back pay, effective Monday, June 10.

“The borough council welcomes the anticipated openness and cooperation among all elected officials and the police department.

At Wednesday’s meeting, council had said that no further action could be taken until a transcript from a recent hearing became available.
