Craig Harold Stewart, 68

Craig Harold Stewart, 68, South Mahoning Township, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Allegheny General Hospital, with his family surrounding him.

The son of Harold and Olga (Meszaros) Stewart, he was born July 2, 1945, in Johnstown, Pa.

Mr. Stewart was a member of the Plumville Presbyterian Church.

He graduated from Marion Center High School, Class of 1963, and joined the United States Army, 101 Airborn Division.

He was a welder for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 35 years and a sled operator for 29 years for the Keystone Tractor Pullers.

Craig is survived by his wife, Diane (Steele) Stewart, whom he married Feb. 23, 1973; three daughters, Jennifer S. James and boyfriend Marvin McCombs of Cookport, Christine Foehrenbach and husband Jason of Indiana, and Brenda Lee Stewart-Bezilla and husband Brett of Indiana; five grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole and Nathaniel McIlwain and Kolton and Gavin Lee Foehrenbach; and his best friend and companion, Lady Girl.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; sister Belinda Voytus; and an infant brother.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the John A Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana, Pa.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in the Lefdahl Chapel with the Rev. Sally Lydic officiating.

Interment will follow in the Smicksburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Plumville Presbyterian Church in Craig’s memory.
