County issues info on flood damage reporting, closed roads

July 1, 2013

BROOKVILLE — Anyone who still needs to report flood damages can do so by calling 814-849-5052 or by stopping at the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services, 560 Service Center Rd., first floor, Brookville, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

If residents need to call after these times, they may do so by calling 814-849-1617.

Clean-up kits are still available in Reynoldsville at the fire hall.

State roads that are still closed are as follows:

• SR 3003 at the Baxter Bridge. Bridge inspectors are still trying to get the bridge inspected, but that has been impossible with continued rain.

• SR 36 in the Village of Coolspring, Oliver Township, has a lane restriction. Motorists should use caution in the area.

• SR 949 at the entrance to Clear Creek State Park. Damage occurred from the bridge on SR 949, and it remains closed until further notice.

• SR 3031 at the Coolspring Road between Pansy Ringgold Road and Sprankles Mills Road is closed due to road washout, trees down and utilities down.

Updates will be issued when possible.

Please note that closures are subject to change.
