County issues info on flood damage reporting, closed roads

BROOKVILLE — Anyone who still needs to report flood damages can do so by calling 814-849-5052 or by stopping at the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services, 560 Service Center Rd., first floor, Brookville, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

If residents need to call after these times, they may do so by calling 814-849-1617.

Clean-up kits are still available in Reynoldsville at the fire hall.

State roads that are still closed are as follows:

• SR 3003 at the Baxter Bridge. Bridge inspectors are still trying to get the bridge inspected, but that has been impossible with continued rain.

• SR 36 in the Village of Coolspring, Oliver Township, has a lane restriction. Motorists should use caution in the area.

• SR 949 at the entrance to Clear Creek State Park. Damage occurred from the bridge on SR 949, and it remains closed until further notice.

• SR 3031 at the Coolspring Road between Pansy Ringgold Road and Sprankles Mills Road is closed due to road washout, trees down and utilities down.

Updates will be issued when possible.
