Connie L. Grimes, 73, Brookville, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Aug. 11, 1937, in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Orval W. and Lillian (Carroll) Grimes.

Ms. Grimes worked as a registered nurse at Brookville Hospital, Punxsutawney Hospital, the Pennsylvania Memorial Home in Brookville, and for the Brookville Area of the Aging.

She was a member of the Port Barnett United Methodist Church in Brookville, and she enjoyed reading and playing the piano.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Michael Swartz and wife Susan of Salisbury, N.C., and Mark Swartz and wife Becky of Brookville; a daughter, Kristen Flemming and husband John of Brookville; and three grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Les Hutchins officiating.

Interment will be in Temple Cemetery, Warsaw Township.
