Concetta “Connie” Cappella, 92

Concetta Cappella, 92, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

She was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Concetta (Portafola) and Andrew Cappella.

She was a member of the Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

She was a supervisor at Pramco and Sportswear Company.

Surviving relatives include a sister, Louise Cappella; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Andrew, John, Angelo, Richard and Carmen Cappella; and three sisters, Mary Musantry, Rose Cappella and Angeline DeChurch.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at S.S.C.D. Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Saints Cosmas and
Damian Roman Catholic Church.
