Colton Elbel Baughman, 22

Colton Elbel Baughman, 22, Punxsutawney, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at home.

He was born April 6, 1989, in Punxsutawney, a son of Bruce Baughman and Sandra Elbel, who survive.

He attended Clarion University and was a 2007 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School, where he ran cross country and track.

Colton was a member of the Oliver Township Fire Co.

An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and hanging out with family and friends.

He was employed by Weatherford Well Head of Punxsutawney.

Surviving relatives include his maternal parents, Sandra and Kenton Scott of Punxsutawney; his paternal parents, Bruce Baughman and Kathy Gomola of Summerville; a brother, Bryan Baughman of Punxsutawney; a sister, Alyssa Wright and husband Andrew of New Jersey; and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Dorothy Elbel of Punxsutawney.

Colton was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Ralph Howard officiating.

Interment will be at Ohl Cemetery.

The family has suggested that memorials in Colton's memory be made to the Oliver Township Fire Co.
