Clyde K. Mohney, 89

Clyde K. Mohney, 89, Punxsutawney, died Sunday Jan. 8, 2012, at Dubois Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 20, 1922, a son of the late John C. and Fannie M. (Smith) Mohney.

He was a dairy farmer all his life.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Mohney enjoyed life; he was an avid reader and an avid hunter.

He enjoyed all of the flowers that surrounded his home, and he also enjoyed watching the birds at his bird feeder.

Surviving relatives include two sisters, Louise Means of Valier and Edith Justice of Punxsutawney; Jay Hoover (who was like a son to Mr. Mohney) and wife Mel of Valier; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and Gary and Holly Travis of Punxsutawney, who were special friends of Mr. Mohney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd Mohney, twin brothers Emery and Elmer Mohney, Ferman Mohney and Guy Mohney; and an infant sister.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, with Pastor Wayne Anderson Officiating.

Interment will be at St. Johns Cemetery.
