Christopher Jordan Gardner, 21, Glen Campbell, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, in Montgomery Township, Indiana County.

He was born June 4, 1990, in Indiana, a son of Van E. and Regina B. (Brink) Gardner, who survive.

Mr. Gardner was a 2008 graduate of Purchase Line High School, where he was active in sports. He was employed as a driller for Aztec Well Services.

An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting; fishing; archery; scouting for deer and turkey; and riding his ATV.

In addition to his parents, surviving relatives include his maternal grandparents, Henry and Charlotte Brink, and his paternal grandmother, Dorothy A. Gardner, all of Glen Campbell; uncles and aunts, Leonard J. Gardner and wife Darla, Joseph “Bud” H. Brink and wife JoAnn, and Bruce A. Gardner and wife Marsha, all of Glen Campbell, Cindy L. Williams of Punxsutawney; and his cousins, Kristin L. Brady and husband Scott of Punxsutawney, Cory Williams of Indiana, Josh Gardner and wife Abra of Johnstown, Bradley Gardner of Etna, Cara Williams and fiancé Aaron of Indiana, Meghan Moore and husband Ryan of Pittsburgh, Madalyn and Landon Peterson, Ella and Jett Gardner, and Lily Williams.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Russell D. Gardner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd. in Hillsdale.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday,Aug. 2, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Allan N. Campbell and the Rev. Fr. Lawrence Manchas officiating.

Private interment will be at the Burnside Cemetery.
