Charles Thomas "Turtle" Kime, 62, Luthersburg, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at home.

He was born May 1, 1949, in Cherry Tree, a son of the late Charles S. and Emma (Hertzog) Kime.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam conflict.
Mr. Kime was an avid outdoorsman and love to hunt and fish.

He is survived by a daughter, Bracy Catanzarito of South Carolina; a son, Charles Kime of Punxsutawney; three sisters, Mary Pearce of Gipsy, Tina Sinclair of Cherry Tree and Patricia Lemmon of Clymer; two brothers, Fred Kime and wife Darlene of Arcadia, and Jerry Hertzog of Virginia; and his faithful dog and companion, Kitty.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the funeral home with Pastor Clifford Voss officiating.

Military honors will be accorded prior to the funeral service.
