Charles Leroy Fox, 78, of Big Run, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Henderson Township, a son of the late Kenneth Blair and Bessie Uretta (Reed) Fox.

On June 1, 1957, he married Sara Dee White. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2013.

He was a devoted and loving husband to her.

He attended the First Church of God.

Chuck worked as a machinist at Star Iron for more than forty years.

He enjoyed hunting, riding his bike, gardening, woodworking and being outside.

He liked to attend sporting events of his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Russell and wife Lisa Fox of Big Run and Mike Fox and wife Penny of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren, Scott Fox and wife Christine, Kris Fox and fiancé Adam Crytser, and Skylar Fox; one great-grandchild, Lyndsay Fox; four brothers, Robert Fox of Oil City, John Fox and wife Shar of Oil City, Thomas Fox and wife Mabel of Franklin, and Richard Fox and wife Linda of Kennerdell; two sisters, Ghyneth Seigworth of Oil City, and Ethel Seigworth and husband Jerry of Reno, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, James and Harry Fox.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Greg Smith.

Interment will follow at McClure Cemetery, Big Run.

Memorial donations may be made in Chuck's memory to DRMC, ICU unit, 100 Hospital Dr., DuBois, PA 15801.
