Charles K. Kovach, 95

Charles K. Kovach, 95, of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Kovach was born April 3, 1918, in Braddock, a son of the late John and Susann Kovach.

On April 17, 1943, he married his loving wife, Erlamon Doreen (Beatty) Kovach of Punxsutawney, who survives.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Panama Canal.

He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ.

Mr. Kovach was a draftsman for G.E. and NASA before retirement. He was a member of the Jaffa Shrine and a world traveler with the love of his life, Erlamon.

Together, the two ventured and lived many different places. Charles was a devoted and loving husband, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Erlamon, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Kovach; and three sisters, Susann, Mary and Margaret.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.

Private interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
