Bridgeport, Conn., died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Presbyterian Columbian Hospital, New York, N.Y.
He was born Oct. 12, 1936, in Iselin, to Michael and Mary (Poycock) Knopick.
Mr. Knopick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, an avid golfer and a gourmet cook. He also volunteered at the Thomas Merton Center for Homeless Men.
Mr. Knopick was a claims adjuster with Allstate insurance.
Surviving relatives include two sisters, Frances Albecht and husband Paul and Geraldine Poydence; a brother, Robert Knopick and wife Dorothy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo officiating.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
