Cecile A. Remaley, 95, Brookville, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.

She was born July 17, 1917, in Gaskill Township, a daughter of the late Mashal and Amelia (Cravener) States.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Brookville.

She worked at Speer Carbon and then worked as a housemother at an
orphanage in Chambersburg, Pa.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Ronald W. Remaley and wife Barbara of Everett, Pa., and Edward L. Remaley of Brookville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alvin E. Remaley; nine brothers, Eugene, Malcolm, Raymond, Earl, Harold, Cravener, Newcome, Merle and Harry States; and three sisters, Martha Long, Anna McQuowen and Ruth Lundin.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brett Swanson officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
