Catherine Margaret Carlson, 92, Anita, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney.

She was born Aug. 6, 1918, in DeLancey, a daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Hinderliter) Carlson.

Dec. 9, 1933, she married Gilbert E. Carlson, who preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1985.

Mrs. Carlson was a member of the Anita Assembly of God Church, where she served as secretary for many years. She also served as a judge of elections in McCalmont Township for many years.

She was a devoted, loving and caring mother and grandmother.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Robert Carlson and wife Charlotte of Shinglehouse, and Mark Carlson and wife Kim of Punxsutawney; four daughters, Beverly Hudson and husband Richard of Treasure Lake, Lorene (Reenie) Good of Punxsutawney, Cathy Cahill and husband Ken of Connecticut, and Carla Lunger and husband Larry of Rossiter; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Carlson; a son-in-law, Donald Good; a granddaughter, Lori Good; two sisters, Irene Rodgers and Eleanor Catalano; and a brother, Howard Carlson.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, with Pastor Timothy Bowser officiating.

Interment will be in the K of P Cemetery, Anita.
